    Rat Breeding?

Does anyone breed rats for their snakes? I have some questions regarding getting started - It would be a heck of a lot more cost effective than buying.

My room mate's dad used to breed rats all the time, but he does have an account here. Basically, all I know is remove the dad after breeding is successful as he will kill the babies too early.
I am a bird breeder who is far from experienced, but learning quickly.
My iguana's name is Eldin, he is the best lizard ever for me.
