Haido the cat - more trusting

I think we had a breakthrough with Haido yesterday.
She was sleeping next to me and I put my hand on her. She didn't flinch, didn't move, didn't protest.
I let it there for fifteen minutes, I think.
Haido is a very tender cat, but not one for intimacy. I cannot carry her in my arms and she never climbs on my lap to sleep, like any normal cat. Also, very rarely she sleeps with her belly exposed, and when she does she wakes up after a few minutes, fully alert.

So accepting my hand on her was a huge deal. I hope she comes to trust me more.

Here is a photo of his she sleeps next to my feet right now.

I love my silky velvet girl (that's one of the things I call her "my silky, my velvet"). And I am happy she starts feeling more trust towards me.

In a very selfish way, I like that she needs me to feel safe, although I try to make the whole environment safe for her. But I cannot change how I feel.

Such a hair, like that of Haido, can really be called silk or velvet.

Trust with our babies is always the most endearing. It was a special moment for you two and I am happy to share it with you.

Mariana, is there a continuation? Maybe Haido will change her habits.

She is taking baby steps and I do not want to rush her.
Today a friend came over and Haido was wary. She has seen her before, Fofo is no stranger to her. Johnny, on the other hand, came down to eat and let her play with his tail. She was picking the tip of his tail and letting it fall. He didn't care one bit, and was completely cool around her. They are the complete opposite of each other.
