Taka, but it really looks very neat and cozy for pigeons.

So nice to have people taking good care of injured birds! A photo of the wood pigeon yesterday... I started putting him in a big sized cage for some time outside so that he can get some sun

He is looking really good. He seems very alert. How is his eating?

Thanks guys! He eats well and seems really healthy... quite skittish compared to a normal pigeon but I guess that is good! remains to se what the wing does in a few weeks time. He is off the antibiotics already.

Excellent, I think he will do fine. I hope the wing will be good enough that he can fly although he may have to spend sometime working it before the muscles are strong again.

I have to post photos of the piggies... still no phone though!

They are just so funny now hanging out together. After a time quarantined it appears they are both healthy and I thought there was no reason to separate them anymore... and so now they are together. The small one begs for food from the woodie and imitates everything he does. Which is great, because I can now stop hand feeding him, since he figured out how to pick up grain watching the other. If the woodie drinks the baby scuttles around the pot to drink at the same time. It is quite comical. When I take them in to clean and put fresh water and grain in the morning they first eat and then they beat their wings to exercise. The poor woodie has a hard time keeping his balance with one wing flapping! They look happy to have company and they roost together at night. I think on monday I will take out the bandage on the wing of the woodie to see whether the bone has fused.
I have decided to built a loft for these guys on the terrace, maybe I'll get on to it this week end. The little feral I will take back to a colony of pigeons where he was found when he is ready to go, and the woodie... we'll see. He will need much more time anyways.
