    Taka I also wish for this. In a few days we'll get a better idea of the situation as I will remove the bandage. I have already removed the one holding the wing against the body so there is only the figure of eight one on the wing, so he can move his shoulder.
    I found a photo of the wing with the pin in, you can see a little piece of metal poking out on the left side, this is the pin inside the bone. The other syringe is placed inside the other part of the bone (ulna), then that piece of bone was pulled to fit on the pin to align it. This was done under general anaesthesia. On bigger birds I have seen rods and screws holding the bone from the outside, but that we wouldn't have the equipment to do and I am not sure if it is done on such small bones. But the pin technique I have seen successfully used on a swift!
