Does a 48 inch Megaray UVA-UVB bulb exist?

    Hello,

I am thinking about upgrading my baby bearded dragon to a 75 gallon aquarium (is this big enough for a full grown bearded dragon?).

I see that most 75 gallon tanks are 48 inches long. I deeply appreciate all the research that has gone into this site, and I have determined that Megaray is the way to go. I would like to have a 48inch long going across the top of the cage, but I can't find anything like this online.

    What do you guys recommend?

Side note---My bearded dragon Ooolshken I have had for 1.5 weeks and seems very well adjusted. I started weighing my baby half a week ago (Friday was 12 grams), and has put on 2 grams already. Love my baby!

They do not make tube bulbs. Here is the link to the actual site and Bob will be happy to help with any questions. http://www.reptileuv.com/

I think one would be enough and a 75 would be good for an adult.

I am happy to hear he is doing so well.

You can use Megaray for the main basking spot & add 10.0 UVB fluorescent light bulb ( 36 inches ) to cover the rest of the tank length.

    Just a suggestion.

I agree that this can be a good decision. In the terrarium for pregnant girls, I had a similar system. (just in case).

Thank you so much! All great suggestions I will definitely be taking. I keep going back and forth on whether to upgrade the cage now or wait a few months....and think I should probably wait until I get a few paychecks. September may be a good month because I will probably have off on the weekends.

Britt, the terrarium looks very good. For the first time - this is the ideal solution. I think there is no need to hurry. How does Yoshi feel?

You need to wait before getting a bigger enclosure. Baby beardies need a smaller enclosure to ensure proper basking and feeding.

I have a turtle tank with a mega-ray over the basking area. I also use a mega-ray for my parrot. You don't have to have a tube light, the spread of the mega-ray will be good enough for your beardie.
