Bathing is necessary. It is also part of the domestication.

Be careful with the tail. I know this is a natural reaction to catch an iguana. But better to he would rather run away than tear off his tail. Because with a torn tail, he will run away anyway.

I personally tore the iguana's tail off. It was a shock for me, to be honest. I can give you advice. When you open the terrarium, close the door to the room. That in case of escape the iguana was at least in one of the rooms.
After escaping, the iguana usually hides somewhere. It can be curtains, or a place behind the furniture. But it is easier to find a calming iguana than to tear off a tail.
Usually iguana "hangs" in some place without movement after escape.

But I hope that he will not escape.

You might also think about closing the gaps in your furniture. For example, if an iguana escapes behind a cabinet, it is very problematic to get an iguana. We used various old rags for this. Take a look.

Thanks, Irina. This is useful :) I will do the same as there are lots of gaps in my house which can let him hide in and would take me an hour to find him out.

This video is an iguana of my friends. She was a very wild little iguana.
    This topic is about her:

We had to find a way to communicate. The name of the iguana is Paquita (Paco at the time). But you are right. She did not want to eat kiwi, although I offered her.Name: lol.gif

The girls have given you good advice. Usually for basking they stay in the enclosure when they are small and are only out for supervised interaction with you. Once he has calmed down and is older you can create a basking area for him to enjoy outside the enclosure.

I think mega rays can only be purchased on line. Maybe mega ray UK ships to your area?

My boy is all good now, not sneeze as much as before. I found him to be a bit swollen and dark during shedding. I can't say he is "fat"/over-weighted. I feel like his leg is flabby.

He looks VERY well. Such a beautiful athletic body. The legs are very nice - plump, as it should be in healthy iguanas.
    He's a cutie.Name: сердце в руках.gif
