The really fast growing females, the ones that are powerfed or are genetically predisposed to get MASSIVE can hit 9 or 10 feet in their first year. Truly insane. I love seeing the 1 year comparison pictures.

Yeah well time did tell what happened. In June 2012, I posted this thread. In July, I bought Medusa as a 3' almost yearling and set her up in the house I was about to move into. In August, I bought Poseidon straight out of the egg just 2 weeks after I moved out of my soon-to-be ex-wife's house but didn't take possession of him until October. The rest, as they say is history.

Gary, at first I did not understand that this is an old topic. I'm glad that your plans have come true.Name: Хлопает.gif

    I understand.

There have been a couple of variations of the original plan. First off, my first Burm was not a male. I saw a Craigslist ad for a female in which I decided to respond to even before I moved out. Shortly after that, I got a male. Also, I didn't get the T60s like I originally wanted. I went with T25s instead because it turns out I only needed 6'/2m cages instead. Now I'm at the point where I'm in the middle of the next stage of upgrades. Medusa is in a T65 now and Mars will get one in the middle of next year. These are 8'/2.5m cages very similar to the T60s I planned at first.

Irina, LOL, I looked at the dates, so I went back and read the whole thread, I first thought new snake as well.

Gary, 8' tanks! My goodness they are getting big. Soon you will have to get yourself one, just to have a space to live in! LOL. I have to say again, it's impressive watching these snakes grow through photos.

It's probably a good thing I don't have that much space or it'd be filled up like yours is ... and I'd probably be single ... again! Name: LafTort.jpg
